Warehouse Operative - Equipment

This position reports to:

Warehouse/Internal Logistics Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

Receiving, order filling, and shipping functions with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping to meet daily goals and objectives. Typical duties include:

  1. Receiving and verifying documentation, SKU numbers, quantities, and quality from vendors.
  2. Stocking products from vendors and plants into bulk locations.
  3. Consolidating products with the same SKU numbers in bulk locations.
  4. Pulling bulk products and placing them in pick zones.
  5. Consulting with Inventory Control to resolve stock issues.
  6. Retrieving specified products from pick locations for shipping.
  7. Transferring cartons from shipping lanes to pallets for loading.
  8. Maintaining department quality and productivity standards.
  9. Operating and being certified to drive power industrial equipment.
  10. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Previous experience with power industrial vehicles preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of distribution operations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend information, and count inventory accurately.
  • Ability to work at heights and in 3-level modules.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly and frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work overtime with little or no notice.
