Job description

Our Fulbourn branch are now seeking a Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver for our Day Shift.

Your role will be divided into three areas; warehouse, driving and office based. You’ll be responsible for picking, packing, and delivering 7,000 pieces per annum, driving approximately 30% of shift (up to 20 drops per shift) to a customer base of about 50 sites. You’ll ensure the highest possible level of service to our customers.

Receiving deliveries from the European Distribution Centre and putting stock away in the correct location, you’ll pick customer orders and load relevant vehicles in accordance with a delivery schedule. When delivering, you’ll ensure all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner. When in the office, you’ll answer calls from customers and raise orders on a bespoke in-house system. You’ll liaise with customers at the counter, take monies and provide receipts, as well as order glass through the European Distribution Centre. This is an incredibly varied role!

Candidates require a full driving licence with proven driving experience to include driving a 3.5t vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit). You’ll be happy to undergo a Driving Licence check with the DVLA and work shifts and Saturdays.

Able to work effectively as part of a team, you’ll have good attention to detail and have knowledge of the Automotive industry and products. A FLT licence would be advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

• 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays (40 hours week one, 44 hours week two).
• Salary starts at £27,294 per annum. Salary will increase to £27,819 after 3 months service
• Bonus scheme of up to £450 a quarter
• 28 days holiday per annum inclusive of public holidays plus an additional holiday for each year of service up to a maximum of 5 years. Additional day for 10 and 20 years service.
• Group Personal Pension Plan – a defined contribution scheme with Aviva with up to 8% employer contribution
