Job description

Driver Hire Edinburgh West are currently recruiting for dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join a well-established steel processing company located just outside Edinburgh.

This position is ideal for candidates who demonstrate reliability and are looking for a long-term role.

This is a temp to perm position, whereby you will complete the first 12 weeks through Driver Hire before transferring over to our clients' books permanently.

Immediate starts available.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing stock and material handling tasks.
2. Adhering to strict health and safety procedures.
3. Operating overhead cranes.
4. Operating forklifts.
5. Working with CNC machinery.
6. Other general warehouse duties.

Shift Details:

1. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
2. A weekly rotation of working dayshift and backshift.
3. Dayshift: 6am - 2:30pm.
4. Backshift: 2:30pm - 11pm.

Rate of Pay (PAYE with holidays accrued):

1. £14.42p/h.

To be successful in this role, we ask that applicants:

1. Have minimum 1 year previous warehouse experience - essential.
2. Own transport essential due to the location of the client.
3. Previous experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts and CNC machinery is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
