Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a Warehouse Operative to ensure orders are picked, packed and ready for delivery. You will handle supplier parts, verify stock, and support efficient warehouse workflow.

The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and customer service in a fast-paced environment within our Yeovil site. This part-time position includes weekday hours with alternating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good team player with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding the importance of customer service and deadlines.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of car parts and automotive industry would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts.
• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner.
• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
• Checking stock quantities against computer and storage locations.

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by always ensuring orders are picked and packed, and ready to be delivered to our customers. They are champions of customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery timeframes.

Main Duties include:

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts
• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner;
• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge;
• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations.

Working hours:

20 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

• A great track record working in a fast paced warehouse, or similar environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• A good team player
• Work efficiently with good attention to detail
• Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
