Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Yeovil
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (Typically 6 months via agency)

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for long-term work, with the potential to transition into a permanent position and receive further training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling large metal castings weighing up to 25kg and measuring up to 2 metres in length
• Operating in a dedicated X-Ray inspection room to perform quality checks on components
• Accurately recording test results using basic numeracy and formula application
• Following all health and safety procedures when handling materials and equipment
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required

Requirements:

• Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
• Basic numeracy and ability to apply simple formulas
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous warehouse or production experience preferred but not essential

Progression Opportunities:

• Temp-to-perm opportunity after approximately 6 months
• Upon permanent hire, the company offers training and certification through their NDL Level 1 and Level 2 programs
