Overview

Are you ready to get hands-on and make a difference? Join our vibrant team at a busy supermarket recycling warehouse and play a key role in running operations smoothly!

We are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals to join us as Warehouse Operators at our CO-OP Dekit site in West Thurrock (RM20 3ED). As part of our team, you'll be at the heart of our recycling operations, processing cardboard, plastics, and food waste. This fast-paced and dynamic role offers plenty of opportunities for personal development and career growth.

You will be working on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, on a fixed shift from 10:00 to 19:30.

Responsibilities
  • Unload and reload materials from lorries, including cages, cardboard, plastic and food waste
  • Work in a dynamic, physically active environment, efficiently sorting, moving and recycling materials
  • Empty cages of cardboard onto the baling machine for compaction
  • Carry out all tasks with a keen focus on safety, hygiene and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to strict hygiene and quality guidelines
What you need to succeed at GXO
  • No prior experience is needed - we will provide all the training you need to succeed
  • A good level of physical stamina, as this is an active, hands-on role
  • Clear communication skills, both spoken and written
  • A willingness to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of tasks
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to learn something new

  • Hourly salary of £12.69 plus £1 per hour attendance bonus
