Are you experienced in a warehouse environment? Do you have additional skills in decoiling, pressing, or cutting? Are you located in or near Wednesfield?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative at TATA Steel's expansive Steelpark site. Steelpark is the UK's largest steel distribution and processing centre, uniquely supported by a domestic steel mill.

Position: Warehouse Operative
Location: TATA Steel, Steelpark Way, Willenhall, Wolverhampton WV11 3SQ
Salary:(£12.21 per hour, with a 10% shift allowance = £13.43 per hour)
Weekend Rate: £18.32 per hour
Contract Duration: Initially 12 months
Shift Patterns: Double days: Monday to Thursday 05:30-13:30 and 13:30-22:00; Friday 06:00-11:40 and 11:40-17:10
Start Date: ASAP, subject to Occupational Health clearance, including a Drug and Alcohol test

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to packing specifications based on customer requirements
• Operate tooling and material handling equipment
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations and encourage others to do the same
• Identify and address unsafe conditions or actions
• Work flexibly to meet business needs
• Recognize product ranges for efficient material selection and processing
• Apply continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques
• Recommend enhancements to production control procedures
• Handle and manage material, including stock records, labelling, and storage in line with commercial and safety standards

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in a warehouse or production environment
• Background in industrial or production settings
• Ability to perform manual handling and stand for extended periods
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle due to shift times
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with SAP
• FLT/Counterbalance licence or relevant experience
• Skills or qualifications in decoiling, pressing, or cutting
