Job summary

Univar Solutions in Widnes is seeking a Warehouse Operative for the late shift (1.30pm–10pm, Mon-Fri). You will load, unload, pick and store goods, and perform PI counts to support safe and accurate warehouse operations.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will operate MHE, ensure correct goods receipt and dispatch, complete documentation, and comply with health and safety requirements. An FLT Counter Balance licence is desirable, and you will contribute to a culture of inclusion and continuous

Qualifications

• Energetic and proactive with good communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work without supervision in time-critical environments.
• FLT Counter Balance licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE and ensure safe loading/unloading of goods.
• Ensure correct receipt, storage and dispatch of goods in good condition.
• Complete documentation accurately and promptly.
• Comply with all policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Work with hazardous materials as required.

Duties

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our Widnes team.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the successful candidate will safely and accurately load, unload, pick and store goods and PI count.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure that MHE is properly presented and operated
• To ensure that the correct goods are received, stored and dispatched in good condition
• To ensure the correct completion of documentation
• Be compliant to all policies, procedures and legislative requirements

Key Tasks

• To ensure the correct receipt and dispatch of goods through our warehouse management application
• To ensure the correct picking of customer orders through our warehouse management application
• To inspect returned stock for external appearance, date of manufacture and evidence of internal contamination – in accordance with company procedures
• To load and unload outgoing and incoming vehicles safely and accurately through our warehouse management application
• Cooperate on all matters concerned with health, safety, training, legislation and the environment
• To work with various hazardous chemicals
