Job description

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join Thames Water permanently.

As part of the Inventory Operations and Supply Management team, you will be responsible for providing safe custody and real-time visibility of stock holdings. You will ensure a professional delivery and collection service across all Thames Water & Alliance locations, supporting operational teams during customer and operational incidents.

What you’ll be doing as a Warehouse Operative

• Operating mechanical handling equipment safely.
• Driving forklifts; training provided.
• Using SAP to monitor inventory levels.
• Updating stock records.
• Loading and unloading vehicles securely.
• Managing daily receipts from Distribution Centres.
• Processing returns against work orders.
• Maintaining good housekeeping on site.
• Ensuring timely delivery and collection of equipment and stock.
• Safeguarding Thames Water stock and equipment.

Who we’re looking for

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Valid, full UK driving license and own transport.
• Strong numeracy, verbal, and written skills.
• FLT license is a plus; training provided if needed.
• Basic computer skills, especially Excel.
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting up to 25 kg.
