Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting Warehouse Operatives to work at a busy logistics site on the docks in Millbrook, Southampton. Immediate start with ongoing full-time hours, and potential for a permanent contract after 12 weeks depending on performance and attendance.

Shifts rotate every two weeks: early 06:00-14:00 and late 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday. Applicants must be willing to work both shifts. Starting pay is £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is not essential, but would be highly advantageous.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts (early and late).

Responsibilities

• Picking stock from the warehouse using a scanner.
• Using a pump truck to move pallets to the packing area.
• Packing, labelling and sorting stock for dispatch.
• Printing labels from a computer system for parcels.
• Preparing e-commerce orders for customers.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties.
• Heavy, physical work.

The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a number of Warehouse Operatives to work at our client's busy logistics site, based on the docks in Millbrook, Southampton.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Picking stock from the warehouse using a scanner
• Using a pump truck to move pallets of stock to the packing area
• Packing, labelling and sorting stock ready to be dispatched
• Using a computer system to print labels to put on the parcels
• Preparing e-commerce orders to be sent to customers
• Assisting with all general warehouse duties
• Heavy, physical work

Previous warehouse experience is not essential, but would be highly advantageous.

This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position. There is a possibility that the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.

This is to work on a two-week rotating shift pattern. You will do two weeks on the early shift, then two weeks on the late shift, and keep rotating on that basis.

The hours for the early shift are Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00.

The hours for the late shift are Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.

Any applicants must be happy to work BOTH shifts.

The starting pay rate is £12.71 per hour.
