Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for Warehouse Operatives for our well-established manufacturer and supplier of Plastic Building and Plumbing systems to the UK construction sector.

Shift and pay rate: 06:00-14:00 £12.21 per hour for the first 12 weeks then increasing to £12.48

Overview

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for the accurate and prompt picking, packing and despatch of customer's orders.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The responsibilities and main duties for this position include, but are not limited to:-

• Customer Order Picking:

• Bulk picking of orders for Screwfix
• General customer yard order picking when required.
• Stock taking as part of the PSI (perpetual stock inventory).
• Location of stock into hi-bay canter lever mobile racking using 4-way Combi-lift reach truck (12.5 meters high).
• Replenishment of the pick faces and consolidation of stock by MHE and manually for smaller items/locations.
• Assisting with B&Q order picking as & when required.
• Moving of finalised orders to the loading bay area using the Counterbalance forklift truck.
• Receipt and location of stock from external suppliers.

• Machinery, Equipment and Maintenance:

• Use of the handheld bar code scanner linked to the companies WMS system.
• Use of the Combi-lift reach truck, subject to certified training.
• Use of the Counterbalance Forklift Truck, subject to certified training.
• Use of the Electric pallet truck, subject to certified training.
• Use of a handheld bar code scanner.
• Ensure Pre-Shift MHE checks are carried out on all machinery used.
