Job summary

Field & Flower is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our operations team in Shepton Mallet. This zero-hours role offers on-site shifts with flexible hours to match order demands, typically 9am–6pm, at our Waterlip site.

The successful candidate will perform a range of tasks in a chilled warehouse, including picking and packing, processing, intake, stocking, rotation and cleaning, with pay up to £12.21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Flexibility with hours is important due to fluctuating staffing needs.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous but full training will be provided.

Please note: We are looking for someone on a zero hour basis to cover shifts as and when required. Flexibility with hours is important as we are an order-based business and we therefore cannot always predict the exact staffing levels required. We therefore require casual workers because of the fluctuating demands of the business. Please only apply if this suits your commitments.

Field & Flower was founded in 2011 by two friends after meeting at agricultural university, one a farmer and the other a food lover. We are a leading UK food subscription business specialising in grass fed, free-range meat and responsibly caught fish. We also offer a range of artisan cheese, scotch eggs, pies, charcuterie, stocks, salts, and seasonings - supporting livestock, local livelihoods and a living planet with every product we sell.

What will you be doing?

As a key member of our operations team, you will be working within a chilled fridge and a warehouse environment undertaking a wide variety of tasks.

The tasks will predominantly be, but not limited to:

• Picking and packing our customers' orders of fresh produce to a high standard
• Processing of product
• Intake
• Stocking shelves
• Stock rotation
• Cleaning

Hours:

A typical shift is 9am - 6pm, however this may vary depending on the needs of the business.

Location:

Based on Quarry Way Business Park - Waterlip, Shepton Mallet. As public transport is very limited to the operations site, we advise that applicants have reliable transport and live within a reasonable commuting distance from our premises. Free parking is available on site.

Pay:

Age dependent, up to £12.21 per hour. Holiday pay is accrued at 13.04% of hours worked and paid with your final pay.
