Job description

We are currently recruiting talented Inspection Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Sevington, Ashford. This is full-time ongoing work with a 4on/4off rota, offering both day and night shifts. Pay rates are £12.81 per hour for days and £14.09 per hour for nights, with overtime paid at 1.5x.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the operational functionality and performance of inspection activities, from trailer off-loading to inspection presentation and reloading onto trailers.
  2. Load and unload lorries, including manual handling and using roller cages and other MHE.
  3. Complete manual and electronic reporting as required.
  4. Follow instructions from on-site partners to support the inspection process.
  5. Update the PINC Yard Management System following training.
  6. Perform operational tasks to meet departmental and site objectives.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe inspection environment following training.
  8. Follow COSHH awareness procedures after training.
  9. Assist drivers with locating bays and support them in navigating to bays and offices.
  10. Promote a health and safety culture within the team.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in logistics within a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong warehouse system knowledge.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations at work.
  • Experience working towards targets.
  • Intermediate PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Understanding of warehouse practices such as picking and loading.
Conditions:
  • Shift pattern of 4 days on / 4 days off, 12 hours per shift.
  • Availability for day shifts (6am-6pm) and night shifts (6pm-6am).
  • Weekly or monthly pay options.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • No unspent convictions; ability to pass a basic Criminal Record Check/Disclosure (DBS).
  • Ability to provide three years of referencing contacts and proof of residence in the UK for the last five years.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
