Warehouse Operative

• Temporary with opportunity for permanent role for the right candidate
• Location: Andover, Hampshire
• Job Type: Full-time
• Hours: 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday
• Pay: GBP14.42 per hour (GBP30,000 annual salary)

My client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative for the afternoon Loading Shift at their Andover facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, focusing on the accurate and safe loading of goods, along with general warehouse duties. Ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork and precision.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Load and unload goods from vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Pick and pack orders accurately according to pick lists or scanner instructions.
• Handle heavy and bulky items, including manual lifting and use of handling aids.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, including sweeping and removing waste.
• Assist with stock movement, replenishment, and general warehouse organisation.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
• Support other warehouse functions as required by the shift supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse is essential.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is desirable but not essential - full training can be provided.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
