Job summary

GSF Car Parts is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will pick and pack orders, check stock, and help ensure timely deliveries to our customers. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising accuracy and customer service at all times.

45? hours per week? 41 hours standard with occasional Saturdays; full-time position with benefits designed to support staff. Knowledge of car parts is beneficial and training is provided.

• Fast paced warehouse experience or similar environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good team player
• Good attention to detail
• Understand customer service and deadlines
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of car parts and automotive industry desirable

• Check and store supplier-delivered parts
• Pick and load vans accurately and on time
• Check customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge
• Verify stock quantities against computer and stock locations

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by always ensuring orders are picked and packed, and ready to be delivered to our customers. They are champions of customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery timeframes.
Main Duties include:

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts
• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner;
• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge;
• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations.

Working hours: 41 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

• A great track record working in a fast paced warehouse, or similar environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• A good team player
• Work efficiently with good attention to detail
• Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
