Job summary

Pertemps Reading is recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join a leading logistics operation in Reading with immediate starts and full training. You will be picking and packing, loading, stocking, and ensuring safe, accurate order preparation while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

Shifts run 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00 and 22:00–06:00 with weekend premiums. Previous warehouse experience is desirable, and reliability, team spirit and attention to detail are essential.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Moving stock throughout the warehouse using pallet trucks (full training provided).
• Receiving, checking and putting away incoming goods.
• Preparing orders for dispatch and ensuring accurate labelling.
• Breaking down cardboard and operating the baler.
• Carrying out stock checks and general warehouse duties.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

The RoleAs a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for:
