Job summary

GSF Car Parts Limited in Preston is seeking a Warehouse Operative to ensure orders are picked, packed and ready for delivery. You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting stock control and timely dispatch to customers.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication and teamwork, with training provided. We offer 28 days annual leave, health and wellbeing tools, and opportunities for progression within the nationwide distribution network.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Check and store supplier-delivered parts.
• Pick and load vans accurately and on time.
• Check customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
• Ensure stock quantities match computer records and bins.

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by always ensuring orders are picked and packed, and ready to be delivered to our customers. They are champions of customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery timeframes.

Main Duties include:

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts


• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner;


• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge;


• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations.

Working hours:

## (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

• A great track record working in a fast paced warehouse, or similar environment


• Ability to work well under pressure


• A good team player


• Work efficiently with good attention to detail


• Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines


• Basic numeracy and literacy skills


• Good communication skills


• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
