Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team, responsible for both warehouse duties and the setup of electronic equipment. This role requires a blend of physical capability, technical aptitude, and a commitment to accuracy. You will be responsible for maintaining an organised warehouse environment and ensuring electronic equipment is properly configured and ready for use prior to despatch.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Duties:
- Receiving, inspecting, and logging incoming shipments of goods and electronic equipment.
- Organising and storing items within the warehouse efficiently and safely.
- Picking and packing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintaining inventory records and assisting with stock checks.
- Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) safely and efficiently.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe.
- Preparing items for dispatch, including packaging and labelling.
Electronic Equipment Set Up
- Unpacking and inspecting electronic equipment for any damage.
- Assembling and configuring hardware components.
- Installing and configuring software applications as required.
- Connecting and testing electronic equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues.
- Documenting the setup process and any configurations made.
- Repacking and despatching equipment.
General Responsibilities
- Adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicating effectively with team members and other departments.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of electronic equipment and its setup.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move objects.
- Basic IT literacy and comfort with technology.
- Excellent organisational skills.
Desirable
- Experience with specific types of electronic equipment relevant to our business.
- Forklift certification.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for electronic devices.
