The role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our Aviation business unit, supporting the RAF Station with essential logistics and warehouse operations while ensuring the safe transport of service families’ children to and from school. This is a role where precision, responsibility and care come together to make a real difference.

Day-to-day, you’ll:

  • Operate MoD Logistic Information Systems and maintain stock records.
  • Place, progress, and deliver orders for equipment and manage stock issues and receipts.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and security in the warehouse.
  • Escort children on school buses, ensuring safety and compliance with authorised user lists.
  • Maintain control and safety throughout journeys, ensuring seatbelt use and proper seating.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Holyhead.

Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and record updating.
  • Background in logistics or warehouse operations with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines in a team environment.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
  • Problem‑solving experience and ability to mentor others effectively.
Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative
  • Current full UK driving licence.
  • GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Enhanced DBS security clearance for this role.
