Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join the warehouse team. The role involves operating baling equipment, ensuring bins are stocked, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the shift.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.86, with a structured Monday–Friday rotation and potential changes to a 7-day Panama shift in the New Year. Training is provided to help you settle in quickly.

Qualifications

• Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling warehouse tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a warehouse setting.
• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance.
• Experience in warehouse or recycling environments is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production areas have sufficient bins available at all times.
• Empty bins from production areas promptly and efficiently.
• Compact scrap materials and bale using baling equipment.
• Label and segregate bales according to recycling company requirements.
• Complete the weekly cleaning schedule as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.

Warehouse Operative - £13.86 per hour

Monday to Friday rotating -

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 14:00 – 22:00
• 22:00 – 06:00

Potentially moving to a 7 day Panama shift pattern in the New year.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Baler Operative to join our warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure production areas have sufficient bins available at all times
• Empty bins from production areas promptly and efficiently
• Compact scrap materials and produce bales using the baling equipment
• Clearly label and segregate bales according to the appropriate recycling company
• Complete the weekly cleaning schedule as directed by the Warehouse Manager
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures
• Use PPE correctly at all times
• Report hazards and complete near-miss reports where required
• Ensure fire exits and walkways are kept clear at all times
• Follow all warehouse safety rules
