Job summary

Ambitions Personnel, acting on behalf of our client in Grantham, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative with forklift duties. In this hands-on role you will load and unload goods, move stock, and help maintain a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

You must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence and a full driving licence; a temporary-to-permanent contract is offered for a reliable candidate who fits into a busy team and can manage regular manual handling.

Job description

Our client, based in Grantham, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is a hands-on warehouse role that would suit someone with previous warehouse experience who is confident working in a busy environment and is comfortable with a significant amount of manual handling.

Your duties will include:

• Loading and unloading goods
• Moving and organising stock within the warehouse
• Operating a counterbalance forklift
• Carrying out general warehouse duties
• Completing a significant amount of manual handling
• Ensuring goods are stored and handled safely
• Assisting with deliveries and collections when required
• Potentially driving the company van to Newark and back, so a full driving licence is essential

The role operates on a rotating weekly shift pattern:

Week 1: 6:00am – 3:30pm

Week 2: 10:30am – 8:00pm

Monday to Friday

About You

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Previous warehouse experience
• An in-date, accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• A full, valid driving licence
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift
• The ability to undertake regular and heavy manual handling
• A reliable and flexible approach to work
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
