Holdsworth Foods is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for the Despatch team at our Evesham depot. You will join a dedicated group ensuring accurate product picking and timely deliveries while maintaining high levels of customer service.

The role offers a weekly bonus after training, plus a pension, death in service, healthcare cash plan and staff discounts. Working hours are 4:00pm to Midnight, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Pick orders from picking sheets with attention to product and quantities
• Identify stocked products and understand warehouse layouts and storage areas
• Ensure correct labeling faces for double checking
• Handle loading/unloading of cages carefully and safely
• Operate pallet trucks/forklift only with valid certification
• Report any equipment faults to management promptly
• Assist with other duties as required by senior management

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work in our Despatch team at our Evesham depot. Working as a Warehouse Operative, you will be joining a team who ensure that our customers receive the right products and support in the delivery of high levels of customer service.

The role offers a weekly bonus (after successful training period), pension, death in service, healthcare cash plan scheme and staff discount.

The working hours are 4.00pm to Midnight, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week).

Duties includes:

• To pick orders from picking sheets, with attention to product and quantities
• To be familiar with and able to identify the products stocked.
• To have a good working knowledge of the set-up of the warehouse and of the correct storage areas of all the various items stocked.
• To face labels outwards for double checking purposes
• To take care when loading and unloading cages
• To use the ladders and harnesses when working off ground level.
• To use pallet trucks/fork truck in a safe manner, and only if valid certification for the machine is held.
• To report any handling equipment faults immediately to the Department Manager or his/her Deputy.
• Nominated double checkers are to check cages for products and quantities against picking sheets
• Picking sheets must be signed for by the picker, double checker and stacker for traceability
• To load the cages onto the correct vehicle, taking extreme care not to damage any of the goods
• To load dry goods plus meat orders onto the correct vehicles taking care to load in such a way as to avoid any damage, spillage whilst in transport.
• To keep the warehouse clean and tidy at all times.
• To assist with other duties when requested to do so by senior management.
