Job summary

Vibe Recruit is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative on behalf of a large research organisation based in South Oxfordshire. The role involves ensuring smooth goods in and despatch operations, accurate recording, and efficient stock handling.

The position requires prior warehousing experience, proficiency with stock control systems, and a valid driving licence. Forklift experience is preferred; training may be available on-site. The contract is initially 6 months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Previous general warehousing/stores or goods-in and despatch experience.
• Computer literate and experienced in the use of stock/materials control systems.
• Full Driving Licence - van driving experience would be advantageous.
• Previous Forklift experience is preferred but onsite training may be available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, arrange and record all dispatches from site.
• Package items/goods sufficiently for safe dispatch and transportation.
• Use of Stock Control System and registration of deliveries / goods
• File delivery notes and signed Receipt Registration labels.
• Inform staff and contractors when deliveries have arrived.
• Relocate parcels / deliveries to storage compounds / locations.
• Resolution of queries arising from missing deliveries and damaged goods etc.
• Stock management of consumables.
• Housekeeping and General Administration duties as required.

Warehouse Operative

A large research organisation, based in South Oxfordshire require an experienced warehouse/stores person for their busy goods in and logistics function.

A major refit and upgrade is taking place, with a large volume of goods being received and despatched daily.

Main Duties

• Coordinate, arrange and record all dispatches from site


• Package items/goods sufficiently for safe dispatch and transportation.


• Use of Stock Control System and registration of deliveries / goods


• File delivery notes and signed Receipt Registration labels.


• Inform staff and contractors when deliveries have arrived.


• Relocate parcels / deliveries to storage compounds / locations.


• Resolution of queries arising from missing deliveries and damaged goods etc.


• Stock management of consumables.


• Housekeeping and General Administration duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous general warehousing/stores or goods-in and Despatch experience

• Full Drivers Licence - Previous van driving experience would be advantageous


• Previous Forklift experience is preferred but onsite training may be available

The role is available immediately, initially for a 6-month period but an extension up to 3 years is possible.
