Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a large research organisation in South Oxfordshire. The role focuses on goods in, despatch, stock control and general warehouse duties in a busy logistics environment.

You will coordinate dispatches, package items for transport, use stock control systems and maintain delivery records. Forklift experience is preferred; onsite training may be available and the position offers an initial 6-month term with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Previous general warehousing/stores or goods-in and despatch experience.
• Computer literate and experienced in the use of stock/materials control systems.
• Full drivers licence - van driving experience would be advantageous.
• Forklift experience preferred; onsite training may be available.

Responsibilities

• Use of Stock Control System and registration of deliveries / goods.
• File delivery notes and signed Receipt Registration labels.
• Inform staff and contractors when deliveries have arrived.

• Resolution of queries arising from missing deliveries and damaged goods etc.
• Stock management of consumables.
• Housekeeping and General Administration duties as required.

Warehouse Operative

A large research organisation, based in South Oxfordshire require an experienced warehouse/stores person for their busy goods in and logistics function.

A major refit and upgrade is taking place, with a large volume of goods being received and despatched daily.

Main Duties

• Coordinate, arrange and record all dispatches from site


• Package items/goods sufficiently for safe dispatch and transportation.


• Use of Stock Control System and registration of deliveries / goods


• File delivery notes and signed Receipt Registration labels.


• Inform staff and contractors when deliveries have arrived.


• Relocate parcels / deliveries to storage compounds / locations.


• Resolution of queries arising from missing deliveries and damaged goods etc.


• Stock management of consumables.


• Housekeeping and General Administration duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous general warehousing/stores or goods-in and Despatch experience
