Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen within our busy Logistics Department for a suitably experienced Warehouse Operative.

Reporting into one of our Logistics Team Leaders, the focus of this role will be to follow standard work for material handling, performing all activities in accordance with safety and quality rules, recording movements of material in the transactional records systems (e.g. receipt, booking), and making proposals to improve safety, quality and efficiency. Where required, adequate equipment will be used to move material (B1 forklift licence will be useful, but not essential as training can be given).

This is going to be a physically demanding role, so applicants will need to be capable of undertaking this type of work

Job Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities of our Materials Handlers could include:

  • Managing material flow
  • Receiving and storing deliveries
  • Creating fix bin locations
  • Trackingproduct availability
  • Locatingstock
  • Physically movingstock
  • Maintaining inventory status
  • Performing physical inventory procedures
  • Maintaining Dept KPI’s
  • Problem solving and Kaizens
  • Maintaining H&S
  • Completing training
Job Qualifications

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role;
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking this type of work;
  • Good communicator, with a focus on working as part of an efficient team;
  • Reliability, with a willingness and ability to undertake shift work when required;
  • Eligibilityto work in the UK
  • B1 Forklift or Crane sling licence would be advantageous, but not essential
