Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Temporary Goods-In Operator)

Location:EH12 - Edinburgh

Pay Rate: £25,126 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

Start Date: 21st August

Contract Duration: 12 working days - possible extension

Main Duties

  • Receive, record, unpack and sort materials on arrival into the operating area.
  • Stock management and rotation of materials to ensure that the appropriate materials are available for processing by operators.
  • Identify, separate and retain goods inwards notices and addresses to aid operators
  • Record deliveries in a central log to monitor levels of materials and identify potential shortfall in receipt levels.
  • Support the administration function by separation of letters and delivery notes to update claim, receipt and supplier data.

Essential Skills:

  • Able to identify and separate materials at the point of receipt, based on agreed material category types and requirements
  • Ability to interpret and make accurate decisions on retention of supporting information for goods received
  • Ability to work on routine tasks with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrate an ability to apply problem-solving and interpretation processes in the completion of daily allocated duties
  • Attention to detail
