Position Summary:
We now have an exciting, permanent vacancy for a Warehouse Operative within our Architectural Coatings division, based in our Carrickfergus warehouse. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our friendly and supportive team. Experience of working in warehouse environment essential. PPG are a global company founded in 1882, with a presence in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for nearly 40 years. Our brands, Johnstone’s and Leyland Paint, are supported by a 60,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility in Carrickfergus, along with 27 Johnstone’s Decorating Centres across Ireland. We place a strong emphasis on colleague engagement, achieving a score of 4.22 out of 5 in Gallup's Global Q12 annual colleague survey.

A day in the life of…

• As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:
• Pick, pack and assemble orders, ensuring a high level of accuracy at all times.
• Maintain a good level of efficiency.
• Align with health and safety regulations, while always maintaining safe-working practices.
• Loading and unloading of deliveries.
• Check customer orders before dispatch.
• Daily housekeeping

The hours of work for the position are 39 hours per week, this is a full time permanent role.

Skills Required…

• GCSE Maths (Minimum Grade C or equivalent)
• Valid Forklift License required
• Previous Warehouse experience
• Power pallet truck preferred (not essential)
