Job description

Our client based in Carlisle is looking for warehouse operatives to join their busy team.

You'll be a vital part of every parcel's journey, working in all parts of the warehouse, including scanning, sorting, and loading parcels.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

• Sorting items by hand into compartments on a sorting frame.
• Bagging and labeling parcels for their destination.
• Moving mail around the office between conveyor belts, loading docks, and trolleys.
• Moving mailbags from cages, sorting mailbags and bundles of mail into cages.
• Loading and unloading wheeled containers from vehicles to the dispatch areas.
• Scanning parcels.

Requirements:

• Must be physically fit, as you'll need to be comfortable loading trailers and lifting and carrying.
• Good level of English language skills, both written and spoken.
• IT literate and confident in using scanners and computers.
• Safety boots and hi-vis jacket are required.
• Previous experience in a similar position is desirable.

Shift Pattern:

5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Pay:

GBP 13.00 per hour
