To be an active member of the production team, ensuring that you comply with all the site procedures. Maintaining the safe operation of site packing lines and warehouse to effectively and efficiently manufacture, store and dispatch sugar products which meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Operate a busy warehouse forklift truck, conduct start-up and end of shift checks, load and unload tautliner lorries, perform trailer inspections, and fill in paperwork.
2. Accurately record all dispatches and operational data.
3. Operate the warehouse management system to ensure correct processing of goods in and out.
4. Comply with site, health, safety, environmental, and food safety procedures, work instructions, and safe systems of work.
5. Carry out basic fault finding and work with shift engineers to resolve issues.
6. Meet production and dispatch plans to satisfy customer requirements.
7. Escalate issues promptly to Supervisor/Line Manager.
8. Demonstrate food-safe manufacturing processes to auditors and customers.
9. Identify, communicate, and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
10. Maintain housekeeping standards to eliminate food safety risks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working within an FMCG environment, preferably food.
• Experience operating food packaging machinery such as bag in box, form & fill, or bag & stitch.
• Awareness of HACCP and GMP practices.
• Good communication skills, including accurate and legible record-keeping.

• Manual Handling Training
• Current counterbalance FLT licence
