An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join an established food manufacturing business in Burgess Hill. Reporting to the Technical & Supply Chain Director, the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for receiving deliveries, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring the factory is supplied with the ingredients, packaging and materials needed to meet production demands. This is a varied, hands-on role combining forklift driving, warehouse administration, stock control and production support within a busy manufacturing environment.
The successful Warehouse Operative will have previous experience within a warehouse, goods-in, manufacturing or production environment, which is highly desirable. Counterbalance forklift experience is essential, although candidates who require a refresher course will be considered. A full UK driving licence is essential. Experience with stock control, delivery documentation and warehouse administration would be highly desirable, along with good IT, numeracy and literacy skills. Knowledge of food hygiene or experience within a food manufacturing environment would be desirable. You will be reliable, organised and able to manage changing priorities while working independently and as part of a team. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Goods-In Operative, Forklift Driver or Stores Operative.
