Job description

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative for our client, a white goods organisation. The successful candidate will efficiently handle all goods entering and leaving the warehouse environment, while helping to deliver the group’s values of focusing on customers, controlling costs, and taking care of products. The role also involves coaching staff to ensure these values are upheld, acting on WEEE, and assisting with all warehouse requirements.

This role is a 5-month contract with the possibility of extension. The working hours are a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 12 hours per shift with a 1-hour break.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Follow all warehouse policies and procedures.
• Ensure stock is moved to the correct location using appropriate methods.
• Use and recommend suitable packaging that meets standards while minimizing waste.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness in conjunction with operational tasks.
• Load and unload WEEE and keep the area tidy in wet/dry environments.
• Assist in all site processes, including administrative duties.
• Ensure site and vehicle key controls are maintained and adhered to.

Personal Requirements:

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Certified to operate all manual handling equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Counterbalance forklift license.
• Understanding of KPIs and Service Level Agreements for functional areas and the site.
• Clamp attachment training and assessment (desirable).

Working Hours: 37 hours/week, 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, on a 4 days on, 4 days off basis.

Pay: £15.40 per hour
