Job description

Job Title: Sorter / Loader

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sorter / Loader to join our Basingstoke-based Logistics team.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely load and unload stock from delivery vehicles within the hub.
2. Break down loads into delivery routes, scan items when necessary, and prepare bulk paper palettes for drivers.
3. Ensure all loads are secured, inform drivers of load conditions, and produce paperwork as applicable.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility with working hours and willingness to do overtime.
• Physical fitness for walking, standing, lifting, and stretching tasks; some heavy lifting involved.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• High levels of common sense, integrity, and honesty.

Additional: A forklift truck license is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
