Job summary

HSL is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives in Atherstone to join a busy distribution centre. You must have access to your own transport and be available for day or night shifts starting early morning.

The role is temporary with a view to permanent subject to probation, with the eventual transfer to Bardon Distribution Centre in Oct 2027. Duties include voice picking, using a LLOP, picking/packing orders, and general warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have driving licence or access to own transport.
• Temp-to-perm opportunity after probation period.
• Successful probation required to transfer to Bardon (LE67) DC in Oct 2027.

Responsibilities

• Voice picking / order picking.
• Using a LLOP (Low Level Order Picker).
• Picking and packing customer orders.
• General warehouse duties including loading/unloading and pallet wrapping.
• Working to targets and quality standards.

Job description

We are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives / Order Pickers / Selectors to join a busy distribution centre in Atherstone.

Applicants must be able to drive and have access to their own transport.

This is a temp to perm opportunity - subject to successful probation period

The Warehouse Operative role is based in Atherstone, however candidates will be required to transfer to Bardon (LE67) Distribution Centre from around Oct 2027

• Dayshift starts at 5am or 6am
• Night shift starts at 7:30pm
• Typical shift length: 7 – 8 hours
• Shift pattern: various (eg 5 days on, 3 days off, 4 on 2 off etc (includes weekends)
• Fixed rota options working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 2 out of 3 Sunday.

Pay Rates

• £13.44 per hour (before 10pm)
• £16.79 per hour (after 10pm)
• After 12 weeks:
• £14.93 per hour (before 10pm)
• £18.66 per hour (after 10pm)

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

• Voice picking / order picking
• Using a LLOP (Low Level Order Picker)
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Pallet wrapping and preparing goods for dispatch
• Loading and unloading goods
• General warehouse and distribution duties
• Working to targets and quality standards
• Chill or ambient warehouse environments

Previous warehouse operative experience is desirable, but candidates with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn will also be considered.
