Warehouse Operations Manager

Role Overview:

Our esteemed client, a leader in third-party logistics (3PL) solutions, is seeking an exceptional Warehouse Operations Manager to join their rapidly expanding team. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in managing high-volume warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency
• Implement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate inventory control
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high service standards
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of warehouse staff (circa. 80 Indirect Reports / 4 Direct Reports)
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to streamline logistics and supply chain activities
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and cost-efficiency
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment, preferably was a Warehouse Operations Manager
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
• Live within a commutable distance of Doncaster
