Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role:

The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all warehouse activities across Retail, B2B, and D2C requirements, developing the team to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with SALSA BSD food safety standards, while also optimizing storage and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring proper resource planning to meet dispatch requirements, and achieve productivity targets.
2. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock records, conduct audits, and implement best practices to reduce waste. Plan delivery receipts and outgoing shipments to optimize workflow. Collaborate with the Warehouse Logistics Manager to optimize space and ensure effective stock rotation.
3. Team Leadership: Manage and train the warehouse team, develop their skills for succession planning, and maintain staff motivation and productivity.
4. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with SALSA BSD regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products. Follow health & safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Implement sustainable practices, including waste segregation, to reduce environmental impact. Manage audits and inspections.
5. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve workflows, and increase efficiency.
6. Supplier Coordination: Work closely with customers, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure timely deliveries.
7. Technology & Reporting: Use warehouse management software and sales portal analytics for accurate tracking and reporting. Provide feedback to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in FMCG with SALSA BSD or equivalent food safety system is desirable.
• Qualifications: Food Safety in Manufacturing Level 3, HACCP Level 3 are desirable.
• Experience with inventory management systems, retail booking portals, and logistics tracking.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
