Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to be based at our Wolverton site (MK12 5PT). The position does not entail fixed working hours; however, it requires flexibility and the capability to be available as required, including outside the standard hours of 09:00 to 17:00. Travel between sites will also be required. As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will ensure exceptional service and a strong health and safety culture through efficient operations, team management, and meeting targets. You will collaborate with the General Manager to align client relationships and activities with organisational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes in receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance productivity and support profit and loss (P&L) targets.
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent performance and identify productivity enhancements.
  • Address out-of-hours customer inquiries effectively.
  • Oversee site facilities and ensure compliance with management policies.
  • Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture and lead by example.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and assess employee training needs.
  • Ensure compliance with employee relations procedures and timely performance development reviews (PDRs).
  • Maintain adherence to quality standards and manage quality control processes.
  • Resolve non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and seek opportunities for operational improvements.
Qualifications
  • A robust educational background, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of both written and verbal English.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role, overseeing a team.
  • Demonstrated capability in enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Strong skills in managing customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SAP.
  • Knowledge of KAIZEN principles.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities.
