1st Choice Staff Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Administrator / Operative at Head Office, Bedfordshire. The role blends administration with practical warehouse duties, using a WMS and handling stock control, labels, and despatches.

The position involves shifts, potential early mornings/evenings, and occasional overtime during peak periods, with salary up to £28,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Good computer skills and confidence with warehouse/admin systems.
• GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, positive and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate across departments.
• Commitment to accuracy, safety and high operational standards.
• Willingness to undertake both administrative and practical warehouse duties.
• Flexibility to work shifts and additional hours during peak periods.

Responsabilités

• Release e-commerce orders for picking using the WMS.
• Print and prepare labels for production activities and despatches.
• Organise and manage stock replenishments to ensure stock availability.
• Liaise with hauliers and transport providers for daily collections and despatches.
• Act as a key contact for the warehouse team to coordinate daily activities.
• Communicate with other departments regarding deliveries and production needs.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and report findings to maintain accuracy.
• Assist with picking and packing, ensuring high accuracy for orders.
• Use handheld scanners to process stock movements and orders.
• Operate a powered pallet truck (PPT) where required.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team and other departments.
• Follow health and safety procedures and uphold standards.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as discussed with line manager.
