Job summary

An established Engineering company in Gillingham is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative. Responsibilities include picking and preparing goods for dispatch, loading lorries, and maintaining a tidy work environment. Ideal candidates will have previous stores experience and be comfortable with heavy lifting. This temporary role offers the possibility of becoming permanent.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a stores environment.
• Ideally has used a Forklift Truck (FLT).
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting tasks.

Overview

With an immediate start, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join an established Engineering company, working in their busy stores.

Responsibilities

• Picking, wrapping and getting goods ready to be dispatched
• Loading lorries to distribute products to clients
• Maintaining clean and tidy stores and ensuring smooth workflow through the workshop

Requirements

• Previous stores experience
• Ideally has used a FLT
• Heavy lifting involved

Conditions

• Hours: 6.00am - 2.30pm, with expectation to work through until 5pm
• 2 in 4 Saturdays 6.00am - 11.00am
• Overtime paid at time and a half (>40 hours)
• This is a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent
