Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland in High Wycombe seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager to run a busy warehouse, lead a team, and ensure accurate goods handling from receipt to dispatch. Working hours are 08:00–17:00, with a Friday finish at 16:30.

You will work with third-party facilities and internal teams to optimise stock and safety standards. The role emphasizes stock control, process improvements, and KPI monitoring in a proactive, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Warehouse Manager or similar.
  • Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using ERP systems and Excel.
  • Forklift experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation of the warehouse.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the warehouse team.
  • Oversee goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
  • Maintain stock records and perform regular stock checks.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, and damages.
  • Coordinate stock movements with suppliers, customers, and external locations.
  • Liaise with third-party logistics and warehouse providers.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and Operations.
  • Monitor capacity and optimise storage utilisation.
  • Maintain housekeeping and health & safety standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and monitor warehouse KPIs and performance metrics.

Warehouse Manager

High Wycombe | Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Salary

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation in High Wycombe. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader to join a growing business, managing warehouse activities, driving efficiencies, and ensuring high standards of stock control, customer service, and health & safety.

The Role

As Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse, leading a warehouse team and ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You will also work closely with third-party storage facilities and internal departments to maintain visibility and control of stock across the business.

Working Hours: 08:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Friday Finish: 4:30pm every Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the warehouse.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Senior Warehouse Operative looking for the next step.
  • Proven experience leading and developing warehouse teams.
  • Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments and external partners.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift experience (desirable).
Salary

Salary will be offered based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and overall suitability for the role.
