The Warehouse Manager will ensure operational effectiveness within the Warehousing function to ensure all customer requirements are consistently met. This includes overseeing all day-to-day activities, meeting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, managing the team, and communicating progress with all key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

• Leading and engaging with the Warehouse Team, ensuring that team members are committed, motivated, and meeting all KPI’s set. Ensuring shift patterns are appropriate for the operation.
• Utilising all Warehouse resources to achieve maximum benefit. Maintaining resources to the required standard or replacing them accordingly.
• Providing a safe environment, ensuring all H&S procedures and directives are adhered to at all times.
• Maintaining a hygienic and compliant environment, adhering to all BRCGS and HACCP procedures.
• Delivering Employee Performance Reviews within the required timescales, including follow-up and learning and development requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including timely updates and amendments.
• Managing effective and accurate stock takes, adhering to pre-prepared schedules, and utilising staff resources efficiently.
• Managing compliance to the BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution, conducting internal audits, and addressing non-conformances or areas for improvement.
• Investigating and reporting on stock discrepancies.
• Reporting on all KPIs as requested, including to the Managing Director, management meetings, or warehouse team.
• Planning holiday cover to minimise interruptions and ensure staffing levels are sufficient.
• Working with the team to explore, recommend, and implement continuous improvements.
• Participating in personal and relevant training and development activities to enhance the Warehouse Manager role.
• Ensuring the team’s commitment to warehouse on-site security procedures.

Training & Development:

Specific training and development activities will be discussed and agreed with the Managing Director, as required.
