Salary: Up To £40,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Warehouse Manager- Nottingham – Burdens

Responsibilities:
  • Managing a large branch operation, including a large warehouse and yard. You will ensure all operations are running smoothly between the Sales and Operations teams
  • The transport operation, including planning driver routes, servicing of vehicles and arranging for hire drivers to support when necessary
  • Managing a team of 3-yard operatives, a yard supervisor and 4 HGV drivers. You will be conducting regular 1:1s and performance reviews, supporting the team where needed
  • Managing health and safety in the branch and ensuring we are exceeding expectations
  • Finding efficiencies in operations to reduce cost in damages
  • Taking control of stock take and conducting weekly stock checks as well as managing goods in and stock ordering

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday between 7.00am – 5.00pm, no weekend working!

Requirements:
  • Experience managing a large-scale operation, including a large warehouse and yard, as well as a transport team
  • A positive attitude with a solid understanding of health and safety and how to drive it forward. An IOSH qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge of how to drive a forklift truck and a forklift license would be desirable
  • A HGV driving license would be beneficial, but not essential
