Warehouse/General Manager Position

We are seeking a Warehouse/General Manager for a UK-based, family-run enterprise that has evolved from a modest startup into a prominent manufacturer and distributor of chemical products.

Despite the seemingly mundane subject matter, the company has experienced exponential growth over the past 6 years by leveraging digital expertise to reach both D2C and B2B markets.

Their operations involve blending, bottling, and dispatching products directly from their manufacturing and distribution plant, ensuring quality control and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a similar warehouse environment, though it does not need to be specifically in chemicals.

The current team consists of 30 warehouse staff, but you will lead efforts to improve all areas of the operation, working under a supportive and empowering Head of Operations.

This role offers a significant opportunity to improve, enhance, and grow the business. You should be proactive and hands-on, focusing on execution rather than just oversight.

The company is based just outside Maidstone in Kent. You will be expected to work on-site five days a week (Monday to Saturday). Operational hours are Monday to Saturday, with Saturday shifts from 8 am to 1 pm, for which overtime pay is available.

The salary range is £50,000 – £80,000 per year, depending on experience. We welcome applicants with a broad range of experience levels. Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.

If you're interested or want to learn more, please send me a message, DM (Will Grashoff on LinkedIn), or call. Having an up-to-date CV is ideal, but we can also discuss the role without one initially.

All applicants will receive a response. We recognize that CVs may not capture everything, so there will be opportunities for feedback and further discussion if needed. We encourage diversity in applications and use technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.
