Warehouse Manager

Alexander Steele has partnered with an exciting manufacturing business. They are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager for their site in West Yorkshire.

Location: Keighly, West Yorkshire (Onsite)

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations across multiple warehouse locations. This includes ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and upholding safety standards. The role involves leading a warehouse team, improving processes, and ensuring service levels are consistently met.

The Role:

  • Oversee warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, picking, and dispatch.

  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment in line with service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Manage warehouse layout and workflow to optimise space and efficiency.

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including assigning daily tasks and managing team performance.

  • Provide training and coaching to support team development and adherence to procedures.

  • Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems.

  • Monitor and manage stock movements, adjustments, and system updates.

  • Conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy and traceability.

  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed across all warehouse activities.

  • Conduct safety inspections and maintain a secure working environment.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve warehouse processes and productivity.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve fulfilment or inventory issues.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience managing warehouse operations across multiple sites, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and maintaining stock accuracy.

  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and experience driving process improvements.
