Location: Ormskirk

Type: Permanent

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum

Warehouse Manager - Exciting Opportunity with a Growing Business

Russell Taylor Group are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a thriving company with ongoing investment in site improvements and operational upgrades. This is a great time to join a forward-thinking and ambitious team!

The Role

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient processes across all functions.
  • Delivering operational excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Managing and developing the warehouse team.
  • Monitoring KPIs and identifying areas for process improvement and cost control.
  • Supporting the integration of new systems and technologies to future-proof operations.
  • Supervise daily warehouse functions, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, quality assurance, and logistics.
  • Manage staffing schedules and workload distribution to optimise productivity and reduce overtime.
  • Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
  • Work collaboratively with the Transport Manager and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Maintain and enforce all health, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Regularly review performance metrics and implement strategies to address inefficiencies and reduce loss.

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior warehouse role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience with the implementation and management of a Warehouse Management System
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Proficient in IT systems and administrative processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Hold an in-date Counterbalance and Reach FLT licence
