Job description

Menzies Distribution Solutions are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Manager to manage and support an effective operational process, ensuring the accurate integrity of customer and supplier stock and data input at our Wakefield Depot. The role involves ensuring compliance with all operational processes and regulations, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective change management.

This position also requires maintaining high standards of health and safety, ensuring all legislative and regulatory requirements are met.

The Details
  • Salary: £50k Per Annum
  • Location: Normanton, WF6 2UA
  • Shift: Monday-Friday
  • Holiday Allowance: 33 days inclusive of 8 bank holidays
  • Monthly Pay

Key Accountabilities (Including but Not Limited To)
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport teams to plan, coordinate, and monitor receipt, order assembly, and dispatch of goods
  • Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently to meet quality and budgetary targets
  • Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems as necessary
  • Maintaining a safe working environment in line with the company's H&S policies
  • Implementing effective environmental control measures
  • Managing operational costs effectively
  • Supporting and developing the operational team through continuous improvement and proactive communication
  • Fostering a team environment focused on collaboration and high standards
  • Ensuring all health and safety inductions and training are completed and logged
  • Maintaining adherence to business 'key standards'
  • Monitoring and maintaining performance levels for all warehouse activities
  • Developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Reviewing and improving operational practices in line with procedures
  • Planning and managing daily operations and special projects through continuous improvement
  • Producing reports and KPI data for internal communication
  • Ensuring delivery of client operational requirements
  • Leading regular operational meetings to communicate objectives and performance
  • Working towards KPIs and objectives set with clients, considering special projects or initiatives
Experience and Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
