Universal Business Team is recruiting a Warehouse Manager for Leeds to lead a busy manufacturing and distribution operation and drive performance across the site.

The role focuses on people leadership, Lean-based improvements, stock control and delivering on-time, in-full results while maintaining high safety and quality standards. An ambitious, growing £22m turnover business supports clear career progression.

Qualificações

• Experience leading teams in busy manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong leadership to motivate teams and drive performance.
• Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, 6S or other CI methodologies.
• Track record of driving operational efficiencies and implementing change.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes, stock control and distribution.
• Ability to use KPIs and data to improve performance.

Leeds | £45,000 – £55,000 (Negotiable Depending on Experience) + Bonus + Individual Incentives

We're working on behalf of an ambitious and growing £22m turnover business operating within the UK construction products and building materials industry.

Based in Leeds, the business is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of innovative fibre cement and XPS insulation boarding systems, supplying builders' merchants, distributors, contractors and construction professionals nationwide.

With an established UK-wide customer base, over 30 years of trading history and ambitious growth plans, this is an exciting time to join the business.

The operation is busy, fast-paced and continually evolving, making this a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to make a genuine impact.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll take full responsibility for warehouse performance, leading the team and ensuring operations run safely, efficiently and effectively.

Your key priorities will include:

• Leading, developing and getting the very best out of team leaders, supervisors and warehouse operatives.
• Driving productivity, performance, stock accuracy and OTIF delivery.
• Implementing Lean principles, 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste and improving warehouse processes.
• Leading operational change and embedding new ways of working.
• Creating a culture of accountability, ownership and high standards.
• Maintaining excellent health and safety, quality and operational compliance.
• Working closely with the wider management team to support business growth.

Requirements

You'll be an experienced Warehouse Manager with a proven track record of leading teams within a busy manufacturing, production or distribution environment.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, 6S or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• A track record of driving operational efficiencies and implementing change.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, stock control and distribution.
• The ability to use KPIs and data to improve performance.
• A hands-on, proactive approach with the confidence to challenge existing processes and raise standards.

• £45,000 – £55,000 salary (negotiable depending on experience and calibre).
