Job summary

Reed in Oxford is seeking a Warehouse Night Manager to lead a busy night-shift team in a fast-moving distribution operation. This hands-on role requires a visible leader who can drive performance on a permanent night shift and deliver against safety, quality and service targets.

You will manage approximately 30 staff, plan labour, support recruitment, and implement continuous improvements across the site while maintaining high housekeeping and strong safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating as a Warehouse Manager.
• Experience managing warehouse teams of approximately 30 employees.
• Experience within an FMCG environment.

The Opportunity

An established and growing distribution operation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a busy night-shift warehouse team in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven warehouse leader from an FMCG environment who thrives in a fast-paced operational setting and enjoys developing high-performing teams.

Reporting into the senior operational leadership team, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for warehouse performance, compliance, health and safety, team engagement and operational efficiency across the site.

This role requires a hands-on leader who is highly visible within the operation, capable of making real-time decisions while also planning for future growth and increasing operational volumes.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead and manage the day-to-day warehouse operation on a permanent night shift.

• Lead, motivate and develop a warehouse team of approximately 30 employees.
• Directly manage and support Warehouse Supervisors, providing coaching and development opportunities.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify development needs.
• Manage attendance, sickness, absence and employee relations matters professionally and effectively.
• Foster a positive and accountable working culture that promotes engagement and retention.
• Support recruitment activities as the operation continues to grow.
• Drive high levels of employee performance through clear communication, coaching and leadership.
