Berry Recruitment is NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Warehouse Manager to work for our client in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Role: Warehouse Manager

Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 per annum

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:

• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
• Manage a team of 6-10 warehouse staff: recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through data entry, regular cycle counts, and reconciliation with our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Implement and enforce health & safety policies, ensuring 100% compliance with HSE standards.
• Liaise with operations, transport planners, and customers to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and liaise with external contractors for repairs to ensure freight is compliant with policies and procedures.

About you:

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to develop, coach, and motivate a frontline team.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Excellent organisational and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and delivery drivers.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).

Desirable Attributes:

• Qualification or experience in team management or training.
• Forklift licence.
