Role Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our growing TPS business. Reporting to the Centre Manager, the TPS Warehouse Manager is responsible for running an effective and efficient warehouse through the management of the warehouse team to deliver excellent service to customers. The role carries the responsibility for maintaining the highest levels of stock integrity through efficient stock management and implementing TPS warehouse processes to ensure full audit traceability.

Who are TPS?

TPS provides independent garages and bodyshops with high-quality Genuine Parts and products needed to service and repair Volkswagen Group vehicles. TPS is part of the Volkswagen Group, alongside brands like Audi, SEAT, KODA, Volkswagen passenger cars, and Commercial Vehicles. TPS operates a national network of centres with approximately 1,500 staff, fostering a motivating and inclusive workplace that emphasizes learning, development, recognition, and rewards.

Launched as a new brand concept in 2006, TPS operates on an Agency Model, stocking and selling on behalf of Volkswagen Group UK. The brand has experienced rapid growth in both financial performance and the number of centres nationwide.

Essential Skills

Warehouse and sales performance

  1. Set and allocate performance targets for Warehouse Operatives and Van Drivers.
  2. Regularly review targets with the TPS Centre Manager and take corrective actions as needed.

Managing the team

  1. Conduct regular 1:1 performance reviews to monitor KPIs achievement and provide developmental or corrective support.
  2. Work with the TPS Centre Manager to motivate and recognize the team through rewards and bonuses.

Customer Service

  1. Ensure high service levels by following correct warehouse processes and procedures.
  2. Monitor delivery schedules with the management team to maintain and improve service levels.
  3. Present a professional image to customers in line with TPS standards.

Managing Stock

  1. Check inbound stock, allocate to correct locations, and report anomalies or damages immediately.
  2. Control stock movements out of the building to prevent unauthorized removal.
  3. Maintain accurate stock inventory and ensure stock safety and security.
  4. Conduct daily inventory checks and support stock audits.
  5. Process returns according to TPS guidelines.

Managing Deliveries

  1. Ensure orders are picked accurately and dispatched promptly.
  2. Report delivery anomalies to the Sales Team.
  3. Maintain visibility of delivery vans' locations for the team.

Systems and Processes

  1. Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a tidy work environment.
  2. Follow established business processes, including warranty and exchange units handling.
  3. Handle cash and cheques securely.
