Responsibilities
  • Manage all warehouse activities including goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure all products (raw materials, components, and finished goods) are handled safely and correctly to maintain product integrity, particularly for fragrances and essential oils.
  • Implement and maintain an effective warehouse layout, optimising space and material flow.
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH, HSE, and other relevant safety regulations for handling flammable and aromatic materials.
  • Maintain accurate stock control using the company’s ERP/WMS system.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with suppliers, freight partners, and customers.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve high performance, accuracy, and safety standards.
  • Schedule work, allocate resources, and monitor productivity and attendance.
  • Conduct regular team briefings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
Stock Management
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and cycle counting.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning to ensure raw materials are available to meet manufacturing schedules.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and internal safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure safe storage of flammable materials.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance to ensure products are stored and dispatched in accordance with GMP and ISO standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction and responsible materials handling.
  • Contribute to projects involving automation, digitalisation, and improved supply chain visibility.
